WORSHIP
Ministers of Hospitality: Be the welcoming face and voice as parishioners or visitors enter church, collect and present the offertory gifts, distribute the bulletins, and ready the church for the next service.
Lector: Process in carrying either the Book of Gospels or the Cross and proclaim the Scriptures and Responsorial Psalm during liturgies, along with reading the intercessions.
Music: Share your enjoyment of music by joining one of the musical groups currently formed; or, if you wish, create a new musical group.
Accompanist: Enhance the celebration of Mass by sharing your abilities with a musical instrument.
Extra-Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion: Distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass, to the home bound, and at the Marian Manor Health Care Center.
Rosary: Lead the rosary prior to weekend Masses, or before Wednesday or Thursday morning Mass.
Minister of the Altar: Assist the priest throughout the Mass. This may be a child or may be an adult (for Weds. or Thurs. Mass).
Eucharist Adoration: Parishioners gather each Wednesday from 3:00-7:00 pm, at their appointed times, for prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in the church proper.
WORSHIP ENVIRONMENT
Sacristan: Help to prepare (1/2 hour before services) for weekend and special Masses.
Environment (decorate for holidays and ordinary times): Enhance the welcoming space and church proper with plants, flowers, and/or decorations using your talents and imagination.
EDUCATION
Catechist: Share your faith with and teach students in our CCD program during religious education classes on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 pm, (Grades K-6), or Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm (Jr. High and High School students).
Vacation Bible School: Help is always welcome preparing snacks and supervising to make this planned program a success.
Director (Holiday Pageant): Bring to life the birth of the Christ Child by working with our youth to present this event in a pageant.
Leader - Children’s Liturgy (Sunday): Work with grades 5-8 students to make the Sunday liturgy their special celebration by their participating in the rosary, readings, ushering/presenting offertory gifts, and being ministers of the altar.
Leader of Children’s Liturgy of the Word (at Sunday Liturgies, ages 4 yrs.-grade 2): Plan and present lessons and activities during the sermon which is relevant to the Gospel reading.
Musician for Children’s Sunday Liturgy (once a month during Catechetical Season): – work with the children to provide liturgical music geared to children and sung during Mass.
Song Leader for Children’s Sunday Liturgy: Practice with and lead the children in song for children’s Sunday liturgy.
Adult Education (Sunday): Participate in or lead adult education classes, study scripture and/or other subject areas, and share your thoughts and ideas.
Adult Education (Weekly Bible Study): Gather together to participate or lead others in group discussions following reading of a biblical passage.
Prayer Cell: Meets monthly to gather and pray for the parish and community.
Phone or E-mail Prayer Chain: when critical needs arise, you are notified and requested to join in prayers for these needs.

Women of Sacred Heart: All women are invited to be a part of this Catholic women’s group which offers education, service and spiritual fellowship.
G.U. Community Right to Life Chapter: Join and help in raising awareness of Right to Life issues and events.
Knights of Columbus (Bishop Ryan Council #4004): Join the Catholic men’s group which offers education, service and spiritual fellowship.

Help prepare parish mailings

Mowing/shoveling for Elderly
Visiting the sick/lonely
Stewardship Committee - assist Father and other parish members by sharing your commitment to help the church community become active in all areas of the church; to see stewardship of time, talent, and treasure as a way of life, not a one-time commitment.
Parish Council - (elected position) provide advice to the pastor regarding parish ministry, maintenance, and finances.
Funeral Ministry
Cemetery - assist caretaker with cleanup and maintenance of the cemetery grounds.
Bereavement Ministry - Provide support to parish members, who have lost a loved one, by visits, calls, and assistance while grieving.
